The CARE Pregnancy Resource Center is a non-profit, pregnancy counseling organization staffed by trained peer personnel, many of whom serving women and their families since 1994. Services are offered to women facing unintended pregnancies and all services are free of charge. Confidentiality is guaranteed, except as required by law.

Helping women achieve their full potential despite the
pressures and consequences of an unintended pregnancy is our mission.
When a women discovers that she is pregnant, she has 3 options:
parenting, abortion or adoption.
There is no easy choice if you're not emotionally ready to have a child. You need as much information about each option to help you make a decision that you can be happy with years from now.
Services: Pregnancy tests, STD information, peer counseling and medical referrals for prenatal care. Ultrasound Screens provided off-site for Care Center clients.
Information on fetal development , abortion techniques and risks, and adoption is presented to each pregnant woman.
After Abortion Recovery is made possible through sessions for groups or individuals. Some individuals may experience emotional trauma following an abortion and need healing and reconciliation.
Baby Boutique: A wide assortment of "nearly new" and brand new baby and toddler clothing available for the client, as well as maternity clothing at no charge. Cribs, strollers, playpens, diapers, formula and baby accessories may be available.

LABOR & DELIVERY CLASSES: Regularly scheduled classes Labor and Delivery Classes to prepare mothers for birthing, taught by Baptist Desoto Labor and Delivery nurses. Mothers-to-be and their 'coaches' join others in group classes for informative sessions on the process of birth. Refreshments and prizes and a joyful time for all.

PARENTING CLASSES: Weekly group classes in the 'art' of parenting, using several resources, videos and texts to prepare new Moms & Dads to be effective and good role models for their children from birth and beyond.
To look past former experiences and press on to an upward call to train up their children in the way they should go.

Diaper Bag Outreach/ Earn While You Learn: Participants earn credit to select baby item gifts to fill a diaper bag at the completion of each section of special studies. Books and materials are provided for the special Childbirth, Parenting and /or Bible study courses, done in groups or individually . the filled diaper bags are presented at the hospital to the new mother.
Prevention Program: "S.A.F.E."(Sex And Family Education) abstinence-until-marriage program has long been a popular mainstay within both public and private schools. Presentations promoting the healthiest lifestyle, character development, sexual abstinence, are encouraged to be attended as they are done with humor, and medically accurate information.
Referrals: Through its community network, CARE Center provides client referrals to adoption services, prenatal care, maternity homes, legal and financial guidance programs, psychological and social work counseling, parenting education, nutrition support for mothers and infants, resource programs as well as referrals for food and housing. At CARE Center,
We will provide you with a free pregnancy test and the accurate up-to-date information you need to make decisions about pregnancy and sexual health.
Because everyone should have access to this information, all our services are
FREE of charge.
You do NOT have to wait for a missed period to find out if you are pregnant!
With over the counter pregnancy tests you have to wait until you have missed your period. We offer a five minute, one step pregnancy test. The test can usually detect pregnancy approximately 10 days after conception occurs. This test is designed to determine the presence of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in your urine.

SIGNET ULTRASOUND has offered CARE CENTER clients limited and trans/ultrasound services for a minimal fee.
